Mike Genung took his first trip to Mainland China in 1986, when employed as Vice President for a distributor of machine tool products with more than 15 million in annual sales. He made purchases as a sourcing agent from China and Taiwan for his employer, making overseas trips multiple times each year. Mike left the company in 1990, and started MG Trading and Development in 1991; the company was later renamed to Global Trade Specialists, Inc. in 1998. As GTS grew he created his own line of machine products, some of which were imported from China. This line was marketed to an international chain of distributors, and was eventually sold in 1998. Over the years, Mike has made many buying trips to China, Taiwan and Russia, and sales trips to Japan, Indonesia, Australia, Canada, various countries in Europe, and Israel. In his more than 30 years of importing and exporting experience as a China sourcing agent, he has faced many challenges, such as finding ways to consistently bring Eastern and Western business cultures together for mutually beneficial long-term relationships. Over the years, Mike has taken many new products from prototype to production for his customers. Some of these products are patented. He helps customers buy China direct and enjoys helping them to successfully bring new products to market. Integrity is the foundation of his business. Thomas Neumann
Sales Manager Europe
Thomas Neumann is the sales manager for our European operation located in Vienna, Austria. From this semi-central location, we source products from manufacturing companies in China for companies in the European Union, as well as the U.K. Thomas will work with those of you who are in Europe and the U.K.. He is available by phone as well as email and will be able to respond quickly to any inquiries. Thomas is an entrepreneur; he has owned two businesses in Vienna and has over 25 years of experience in marketing and international trade.
Wolfgang Wieser
Consultant Alpine Region
Wolfgang Wieser graduated with distinction from an apprenticeship in metal technology, which includes all current metalworking processes such as milling, turning, welding, forging, grinding etc. He gained experience in production and worked as a technical draftsman in the design office. He completed further professional qualifications as a merchant and pilot. In 1999 he became managing director of Sitztechnik GmbH with 1.4 million Euro in annual sales.
Sean Genung
National Sales Manager
Sean is a at Global Trade Specialists. He works with clients to help them source parts and products. Sean helps clients to save money and walks them through the importing process. Previously, Sean worked as a CNC machinist at a Machine Shop in Colorado were he grew up.
Leo Leal
Product Engineer
Leo is an engineer with years of successful experience helping people take their products from a napkin sketch to production. He works with our customers to flesh out their designs and make their new products a reality. Leo is based out of our Chandler, AZ office.
